McIntyre, Kahn & Kruse Co. L.P.A. was founded by Robert McIntyre in 1982. The Firm has evolved into a full-service law firm with expertise in the areas of civil litigation, principally commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation, banking, corporate and business, real estate, estate planning and probate, environmental and land use, intellectual property, insurance, municipal law, with an emphasis in each of these areas in litigation. The Firm is committed to professional excellence and the performance of the highest quality legal services at a reasonable fee.

     Clients of the Firm include numerous closely-held businesses, corporations, multi-national corporations, partnerships and private individuals from Ohio , numerous other states and foreign countries. At any given time, the Firm is engaged in the prosecution and/or defense of a variety of matters in state and/or federal courts around the country.

     The Firm has nine lawyers; paralegals; law clerks; legal secretaries; office manager; receptionist and general office staff. The Firm’s office is centrally located in downtown Cleveland on the 22nd floor of the Galleria and Towers at Erieview within walking distance of the Federal District Court , Bankruptcy Court, as well as the County and Municipal courts and government agencies.

     To service our clients’ needs (whether in the preparation of transactional documentation or during the conduct of litigation) our lawyers’ productivity is facilitated through the use of on-line, state of the art computers providing access to Westlaw legal research data banks at their desks. We also subscribe to the Ohio Professional Electronic Network providing on-line access to real estate, corporate and individual records from the Ohio Secretary of State, County Recorder , the Courts, Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Ohio Industrial Commission. The Firm utilizes high speed internet access to assist clients in prompt communication and transmittal of documentation. LaserJet printers and optical character scanners are also utilized for document reproduction by the secretarial staff. The Firm also uses state of the art litigation support software including Discovery Pro and Notes.

     The Firm uses computerized billing procedures that generate detailed bills on a monthly or quarterly basis. The Firm’s fees are based upon the time value of the services rendered computed at the Firm’s then existing standard hourly rates. Standard hourly rates are available upon request. Generally, cases are assigned and the work divided in order to employ attorneys with the lowest billing rates who have the required level of competence and experience to effectively represent the clients’ interest with supervision, whenever necessary, by senior level attorneys. In certain cases, the Firm will consider alternate fee arrangements such as flat fee retainers, contingency fees, performance based and blended fee arrangements.
